8TH ANNUAL CALIFORNIA LANDSCAPE CONFERENCE/EXHIBITION

This is the 8th annual conference held by the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis, CA. The conference consists of a month long landscape exhibition from March 24th to April 24th at the gallery and a conference date on April 17, where ten or so artists will demonstrate plein air painting at the Putah Creek Lodge on the campus of the University of California at Davis followed by a post-event discussion at the gallery. Mike will have paintings in the exhibition as well as being one of the ten plein air demonstrators at the Putah Creek Lodge.

SALON INTERNATIONAL 2010

Mike Bagdonas' demonstration painting during his October 2009 landscape workshop through the Folsom Arts Association entitled, "Spring Is Near", was juried into this prestigious international exhibit of oil paintings through the International Museum of Contemporary Masters hosted by the Greenhouse Gallery of Fine Art in San Antonio, Texas . Mike painted this 18" x 24" alla prima studio painting from a 9" x 12" study of the same scene also painted in an "alla prima" (wet into wet paint) manner.

CARMEL ART FESTIVAL PLEIN AIR EVENT 2010
Location: Carmel, CA

This is a plein air competition. Fifty-six artists were juried in to participate in this annual event. Artists will paint in the vicinity for two days and turn in their paintings on Friday evening, May 14th. Judging and silent auction will take place all day Saturday, May 15th, with an awards ceremony at the end of the silent auction Saturday evening on Mission Street. Sales will continue until the end of the day on Sunday, May 16th.

LOS GATOS PLEIN AIR 2010
Location: Los Gatos, CA and its environs
Event Dates: 6/2/2010 - 6/5/2010
Reception: 6/4/2010 • 6:00PM to 9:00PM
This is a plein air competition in the town of Los Gatos and its environs including the Santa Cruz mountains. 34 Plein air artists juried into the event from as far away asa Hawaii and Tennessee will check-in on June 2 and paint through the afternoon on Friday, June 4th, turning in their paintings on June 4 by 6:00PM. A reception for the artists will follow the turn-in at a gala Plein Air Affair at the California Cafe including a preview of wet paintings. An exhibit, silent auction and sale will then take place on Saturday, June 5 from 11:00AM until 5:00PM.
